Legal practice.

I operate with both foreign and Russian clients; the international side of my practice sees me acting primarily as a Russian divorce (family) lawyer where one party, or both, is a foreign national. Upon taking a case, I set out a client's alternatives under Russian law and seek to tailor an individual approach that allows them to achieve the best possible result in a timely and cost-effective fashion. I represent clients in court and before government agencies; my services also extend to property division, inheritance and related fields of law.

Academic work

The academic side of my work has always been a professional priority, allowing me to continue to improve my knowledge and skills as a practicing lawyer. The main field I have focused on is the contradictions in Russian legislation/law, which is a rather large field given the fact the Russian legal system is still in the developmental (rather than evolutionary) stage. I have authored numerous articles in both Russian specialist and popular publications and have been the recipient of several awards relating to my work in legal research. I also regularly participate in legal discussions on Russian television, particularly on Family Law, which despite its nascent stage is becoming an increasingly important facet of Russia's legal system.
